New Years Resolutions and Why This Year Will be Different

Welcome to 2014! I hope you partied the night away and bought in the new year with a bang! However, it’s time to get serious and make 2014 the year you shine!

We’re going to make this year, your best, fittest, healthiest year yet and this is how we’re going to do it!

Decide what you want to do, and commit to it!

No more making excuses and putting things off. If you want to lose weight, commit to it! If you want to marathon, commit to it! If you want to dress like a Oscar The Grouch and do Tough Mudder, commit to it!

Join A Team

It’s easier and more fun to do it as a team. Find your friends and family who share your goals and form a team. Together, you can achieve so much more!

Set Realistic Goals

I’m all up for aiming high but make sure your you set realistic goals. If you set your goals too far out of reach, then they can seem impossible to achieve but if you set short term goals and focus on them, you’ll slowly make your way to your long term goal!

Get Professional Help

Working with friends and family is great for motivation and keeping things fun, but there are some things they simply can’t help you with. Professionals know how you can achieve the most for your efforts! If you want to eat healthy and train hard, speak to our personal trainers for nutritional advice and training tips.

Recommit Yourself

You will run into stumbling blocks, things will get hard — deal with it. Don’t give up, but recommit yourself to your goals. Nothing worth getting ever came easy so you’ll need to work hard!

Keep The Goal In Mind

Yes, you may have to work hard, some harder than others. At times you may want to give up, but remember why you’re doing this. Working with your friends towards your goals will help you sustain that motivation even when one of you slacks off or is ready to give up.

Enjoy Yourself

Whatever your goal may be, make it fun. Workout with friends, take healthy food cooking lessons or start a costume making group to improve your Tough Mudder costumes. Life is too short not to have fun.

Work hard towards your goals but make sure you have fun along the way!

Let me know what your New Years Resolutions are and I’ll do everything I can to help you achieve them (unless you’re after a costume, because I’m probably not the best person to help you with that).

Yours truly,

Tanna
